After School Activities at Echo Lake Elementary!

The ELES PTA is excited to bring a variety of after school programs for your child. Use the links below for more information and to sign up for a program your child is interested in!
Important Information:
- Sign ups will begin on at Sunday, September 24th after 7:00pm
- Sign ups will be on a first come first serve basis
- A parent will be required to volunteer at least one Wednesday session if they have a child in the program (separate sign up)
- The student must be picked up promptly at 4:00 by someone on their approved pickup list
- Payment must be made before the session begins

Indoor Soccer/Basketball
October 11-November 15, 2023
$75 for 6 week session
The Starz Program will be offering a 6 week Multi-Sport Session that includes indoor Soccer and Basketball. Students will improve their individual abilities while developing teamwork and spirit. The Starz Program believes when you improve fitness and athletic ability in children you help build their self esteem and confidence. Let your child SHINE with Starz!

Bricks 4 Kidz
October 11-November 15, 2023
$95 for 6 week session
Engineering with Motorized LEGO® Bricks-Have your child stay for Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO® class after school. Our fun-filled model plans, designed by engineers and architects, teach children to learn with LEGO® Bricks. Using axles, gears, motors, and bricks, our project kits motivate children by reinforcing STEM-based principles while enhancing self-esteem, improving fine motor skills, and teaching important classroom lessons such as organization and following directions. Our models are either kid-powered or fully motorized. We will build vehicles, contraptions, inventions, animals and much more! Come join the fun….. LEGO® Bricks Style!

Central Virginia Engineering: Grades 3-5 only

$90 for 6 week session
Aerospace Engineering-During the Aerospace Engineering classes, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine a variety of flying machines. They will plan and build a straw rocket to land in a target zone or fly the farthest distance, build a model blimp that actually takes flight, and design a parachute for test jumper that must descend gracefully after being dropped from various heights. Students will learn the importance of aerodynamics and material selection as they use the engineering design process to create a world of fun!

All Fired Up
October 11-November 15, 2023
$70 for 6 week session
Sweet Tooth-You won't be able to stop those sweet cravings when you hear what we’re doing in All Fired Up’s after school class this fall! We won’t be snacking on anything sweet, but we will make our wet clay pieces look good enough to eat! Join us as we make a clay candy store, donut picture frame and a cupcake topper stash where you can keep your candy. After creating these wet clay projects, students will have the opportunity to practice two dimensional design as we paint our pieces. In addition to our wet clay projects, we will glaze a cocoa mug. Don’t delay and sign up today!
